A Perfect Flower

Shown at Kunstgarasjen in Bergen 2023 – 2024.
Infrared photographs, stones, books and sound.
An abridged version was shown at Galleri BOX.

The exhibition presented a fictional story told from the perspective of a forest that had grown to cover the entire world. The series of photographs, meant to represent the forest, were taken in Norway, Sweden, Spain, and Portugal. You can read parts from the book that was given out for free further down.

A perfect flower is an old name for a cosexual flower, with both male and female parts. The forest in the story once dreamt about such a flower blooming, which inspired it to create its own history.
